So I was driving along took a right turn then this warning sign came on the dash along with a loud beep 3 times?

I done a scan but came up with nothing, it was totally clear with no codes!

That could simply be a loose, broken or disconnected wire from the brake sensors Craig but as its a red brake light warning signal it may be best to have it fully checked over asap.

Cheers
Dave.

Apart from brake fluid level the warning indicates a problem in the ABS system. Did your scan include the ABS-system?
If the the ABS-system does not report a problem, I would just ignore the incident.

It's not necessarily brake or ABS related - for example, it illuminates with engine control module fault 01314, where it means the ABS controller isn't communicating with the ECM.

That's gone right over my head Philip, is it serious or like Dave said maybe a loose wire... Hopefully that's all it is because it still drives ok when warning is illuminated

It happened on mine after each front bearing replacement. It was because the pick up and the ring were slightly too far apart. It meant that the ABS and other ESP type systems were deactivated because the car couldn't tell how fast the wheel was turning. Car drove fine but if you crashed your insurance company might take exception to your faulty system I suppose. I got the bearing reseated and it fixed it. :)

Morning,

The reason your instrument cluster is giving you the annoying audible tone is due to a fault. You really need to resolve the problem that it is presenting you with as this will cure your reported problem.

Can you add a picture to show what is being displayed on your instrument Cluster when you turn the key in the ignition. It could be a simple fix but it could also be something deeper that could cause further damage if continuously ignored.

Get a picture up and someone will be along with then answer to stop the warning tone without disabling it.

Kind regards,

Tom

I had the same lights on (and the EML). From advice given I checked the battery, which turned out to be dated 2003! (engraved on the battery terminal post). A low voltage on turning over the engine was causing the issue. I still have the EML light issue, but the ABS/Traction lights are off, as are the red warning light and the klaxon.

Simples FIX THE FAULT CAUSING THE WARNING. You would be the first to complain if there was a fault that caused serious damage to the car and your wallet and you ignored the warning or worse disabled it!!!

I just had this and it is definetly related to low brake fluid level. New disk & pads was required and that explained in my case this issue (no DOT4 leaks).
