help with fuse

i put a 20 amp fuse in the number 2 fuse in the fuse box turned car off woudnt turn off starting locking unlocking and dials were on and off i suspect a short circuit i removed the fuse and the car soon bogged out once i removed the key i guess fuel pump shut off ? removed battery and put it back on and every was normal
 
What was wrong with the original fuse? Was there one fitted in that location? Are you sure you got the correct fuse? How did you identify fuse 2? Do you have a standard Audi stereo fitted? Most diagrams show the fuses for LHD cars not RHD, the fuse box is rotated 180 for rhd. The chart in the fuse box cover is correct for RHD cars though... Fuse 1 is bottom right on the panel and fuse 2 above it.
