Hi all, new member here.

Just swapped my 1999 210bhp Toyota Altezza RS200 for a 2003 A2 TDI Sport (75). It was an interesting and slightly slower journey than I'm normally used to, but 60mpg compared to 19mpg, and £30 tax compared to £280 kinda make up for it!

As much as I love the car, I appear to have made the huge mistake of joining and reading the forum AFTER I bought the car. There are lots of little niggles such as drivers side electric mirror not working and I appear to be missing several bits of trim! Most worryingly though is the non functioning panoramic roof. I've sort of read about it and there seems to be some sort of resolution on here involving Worthing and 10 years since the car was registered. As mine is a 2003 is it worth giving them a call?

As you have read, your Opensky is subject to a 10 year warranty, and must have been serviced within the Audi franchise ( some reports state a full service record, from experience on an unrelated matter I'd suggest that if your car has a service history recorded, and the most recent one is done at Audi they would consider it). That said, a fully stamped book with Audi dealers will serve well to show that the car's previous owners have been loyal customers.

As there is not many 2003 cars within the 10 year age bracket now, you may be lucky if its a late 53 plate - give Worthing Audi a ring and see what they say. ( Worthing Audi is the only UK dealer we know of who carries out this repair, with a few members having driven to Germany for the work to be done)

I think there is a member challenging the 10 year period as unfair, but I can't find that thread. If you want to do a bit of research, click on advanced search in the top right hand of the toolbar on the forum, then in the next page select the term 'opensky' and then choose 'select titles only' in the next drop down box.
