Holy Grail spotted by us on the M1 this morning

@Birchall, your former chariot was spotted by us heading north on the M1 this morning. Di frantically snapped away as it passed by in the outside lane. I eventually overtook and Di got a thumbs up from the driver as we passed - presumably wondering why we were paying so much attention to the car in our MINI Clubman.

Steve, I have to say this car remains a credit to you mate. Simply stunning in full flight. I really do hope that you get the buy back option you crave at some point. The current owner is definitely keeping it well in the interim.

Hi Darren
Thank you so much for posting this, and your kind comments.
it was at WOM being fettled and so I suspect it was returning hone.
Now that I have an A2 back I constantly think of the “Holy Grail” and unfortunately Peter, the current owner, confirmed that he has no plans to sell (understandably) so I am having to “play around” with my silver TDI and try not to think if the Grail (impossible though that is.

but my current A2 (ex A2Steve and Nathan) is keeping me smiling and once again I am thinking of places to go just to enjoy it for no other reason.

best wishes to all.

Looks so futuristic compared to the other cars on that road doesn’t it. Great car.
Thanks Steve, it does go to show you how great it is to own an A2 and as the years go by, they will still be around and cared for and still look current!
I have said it many times, but put a nice A2 in an Audi sales room with a poster announcing it as the latest Audi. List all of the features and impressive MPG etc and many people would genuinely think that it really is a new model.

It was around Northampton mate, heading north, so not coming back from WOM, heading toward.

Hi Darren,
Thanks, it looks like the broken front spring he spotted wasn’t slowing him down much.
great to see it again.

Wish it was heading up north to Scotland ?. Was going to ask if it was for sale….. looks like I am a tad late??

That’s look great Iain.

Really looking forward to see where this goes. Good luck with all you want to achieve on this one. It’ll be a cracker!

Kind regards,

Tom
