Hi all

I` ve been umming and arring about buying another bike bringing my total personal vehicles to 4.

Do i really need it all the extra expense, feeling a bit guilty really, so just curious to learn how many of you have more than one vehicle and why?

Wasn't going to do this but after seeing some extreme excesses on here ?. All Audis, 1994 80 2.6 Se avant, 1996 S6 Saloon, 1996 S6 estate, 1999 2.8 final edition Cabriolet, 2003 A2 1.4 petrol, 2002 1.6 fsi. Recently got rid of a 2000 A4 1.9 tdi owned for 10 years (it didn't live up to its tdi potential ) and low mileage Audi demonstrator 1997 A6 2.8 Quattro estate.

;) Yep you got me. ? I've loved them ever since i had a brief drive in a (86) 90 Quattro saloon back in 1989. That car taught me something and bought my first Audi in 1993, got rid of the Mk5 2.3 Cortina for a 1982 5 cylinder CD 80 saloon. That (1921cc non injection car) sounded superb with it's creamy 5 cyl burble at idle or full chat and went like stink.

I have to be honest I have had a similar love affair my first an immaculate early 80 Quattro (I think 1984 model ) looked great in dark metallic blue I preferred the early model boxy shape it rusted out on me but a real joy to drive and as you say that 5 cylinder burble ..a couple of ur Quattros before a 40 year love affair with the Porsche 911 and apart from 2 caterham bdr,s we have never been without one ..still German though eh ?

Those B2 Audi quattro saloons didn't weigh a lot - the fwd even less and just had ' that right balance / feel ' about them. Your 80 quattro is an extremely rare car now - i only know of a couple at most in uk.

Audi promo shot of the Audi 90 quattro i drove - funny enough in same colour Zermat Silver.

Bringing back happy memories of my Audi 80 Quattro and then even happy memories of its replacement a full on couple quattro, once it came on turbo that 5 potter sounded awesome when you gave it the beens
Still remember turning a rep a very pale shade of white coming of the M61 at junction 6 doing lets say a little above the legal limit, then through it around the roundabout then down the dual carriage way towards Lostock. The Rep's comments earlier in the day about how good is new Vauxhall Cavalier SRI was all seemed to be very quiet now

These two.

I was always a BMW man, having had an E36 as my first car, but the A4 happened in May and I quickly warmed to Ingolstadt's charms so now I have another. Quite fond of their 80s-onwards up to the early 2000s designs and solid interiors.
