Chat How much are different climate panels worth

How much is the going rate for climate panels?

For example a double din hard touch with heated seats control?

Or a single din hard touch with heated seat control?

Or a hard touch double din?

Heated rollers = not cheap.
Hard touch = not cheap.
Double DIN = rarer than single-DIN, so smaller market but equally harder to find => probably more expensive.

A soft-touch standard single-DIN is anything up to or even over £50 for mint. Add £5-10 for double-DIN?
Probably half as much again for hard-touch (which will be mint).
Add heated rollers and you could even double it.
The above is IMHO. As @RZX says, they are worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for them.

@depronman didn't you sell a DD hard touch one with heated rollers for £150 a few months back?

I paid £100 posted for a heated DD soft-touch one with hard touch buttons a year ago, and more recently £90 collected for a completely soft-touch heated DD one, both in decent condition. I think I did quite well on both.

I suppose that's one of the joys of living in this part of the world, plenty of old cars that people run due to the economic climate here ending up in scrap yards many years after they would elsewhere......perhaps apart from Scotland due to the Scotts being careful with money LOL.
It means you see lots of unwanted parts just ripe for picking although with the low numbers of A2's you do have to be on top of what's coming into the yards, luckily the two biggest yards are next to my workshops.
Recently I've been lucky enough to pick up a complete set of front end panels for Project Poppy (Misano Red) wings, bumper, bonnet and some other odds and ends all for £100 the bumper even included the spotlights....
Its always worth a trawl of the breakers when running "older" cars...so many are getting scrapped for nothing more than a minor fail list at MOT time, I've seen fail sheets for bulbs and a couple of tyres in scrapped cars...…...what a waste of the worlds dwindling resources...…...a perfectly acceptable car wasted because someone would prefer to buy new rather than spend less than £100 on repairs.

Funny this thread started just today, as today I got an opportunity to buy a hardtouch, singel DIN climate panel with heat roller for appr 45 GBP. Seems a fair price then.
Bite their hand off, a bargain, I would expect to see this at £100+ on eBay. - Andy

I've been underpricing mine!!! But they have gone to club members, so not underpriced if that makes sense. If they are going on e-bay, the usual e-bay tax gets added....
Got a hard touch non air con unit available if anybody knows someone who may be interested...its mint!

Any good...????

Yes and no.

Yes, obviously the correct A2 climate, from a large German trader and not in bad condition. If you are in a hurry to purchase, why not the price is about eBay normal. Clearly soft touch, with the major element of wear on the ECON button, but you could swap it out, it should be fairly easy to pick up a good soft touch ECON button on here, for pennies/free/postage, in fact it would not surprise me if I had one lying around. I think many people never touch the ECON button, I never do but the former owner of this obviously did.

No, not hard touch and I am not happy with the quality of the picture to show defects. Wait for hard touch, it might be many months and will be far more expensive. Never buy a hard touch climate without a picture of the label to check production date. That said hard touch is commonly but not always a darker black (satin black), consider if the mismatch is acceptable. Cheaper units on here are far and few between, only a handful per year and be prepared to buy in minutes of the ad appearing!
