You get ground and "always power on wire" with ISO radio connector, but not a power cable that goes off when keys(ignition) off.
You can get a "ignition on live wire" from fan controller just under the radio(fan control/ climate control). Just pull the plug out , fist left cable(number 5 above the connector ) is go live with ignition on. Radio will power down as soon as keys off.

Clean and solder new cable to "power on" cable.

make sure you put good insulation tape around newly cut cable. i've tested this setup, works grate, also checked with VAGcom to make sure no interference or erros.
