Hurumph....thermostat.

After leaving Gatwick this afternoon I was on my way home around the M25 and ran the car with the webasto on for about 25 miles, the car was up to temp and running ok.

Then just before M25 junction 13 the traffic started. After about 15 minutes I looked at the temp gauge and it was hovering around 65 degrees.

Hmmmm
So I put ECON on as this should stop the fan and help a little in traffic. Went nowhere

So as I was in stationery traffic I plugged in my dongle (ooer, Missus - said in your best Frankie Howard impression) turned on DashCommand on the iPhone and it read the following.



This is my 3rd thermostat.
I've already changed the temp sensor, so don't suspect that.

Is it just another duff thermostat or could it be something else?

With the Cambelt at 88k
Why?

well at least you know the vanes wont be gassed then,I would check for leaks though

If the vanes were broken I would have the opposite problem of too little cooling, not too much, surely ??
