OK guys, yesterday I replaced the door strap on the daughter in laws A2 then swapped her damaged rear lens that had a hole in it.
Job's done and put air in her tyres and tidied up.
Later on it was time for her to go but we could not find her keys, searched high and low but no sign.
We were now convinced that they must be in the boot and because I had pulled the blind over the boot we could not see into it. There has been a problem with the microswitch in the past and its that that made me think it had locked itself.

OK I said, I have a rear drivers side glass so I went to get the hammer and break in so I can open the boot.
So hammer in hand I took a swing but it just bounced off, second go same thing, by eck this glass is tough, third go and it still won't break.
Just then the guy over the road walked over to see what was going on and said I need a sharp point, so I said thanks and went to the garage for a centre punch and walking out of the garage I spotted the keys next to the tyre inflator thing that I had used.
I can laugh now lol ? but I'm so glad that I'm s**t at breaking into cars and that the glass is tough.

It does take a surprising amount of force to break a window even with the dot hammer, but having said that I’ve had a back window go from a rugby ball hitting it; seems fate was on your side there!
