Evening all,

I got in my A2 this morning only to drive out of my road and be greeted by not 1 but 2 warning lights on my dash. After consulting my handbook and 'A2OC' i've found out what they mean. Am i right in understanding one is for the oxygen sensor and the other is to do with the coil pack?!? If i'm wrong then please correct me. What do I do next? Do i go to my local Audi Dealer or an independant specialist and does anyone have any idea of how much this is going to cost? Also am i right in saying i shouldn't drive the car with this problem? Any help or advice appreciated.

Thanks

Rakam

The coil pack failure is a common one and has been covered many times on these pages - the packs are also covered by a separate 5 year warranty, so hopefully replacement will be free for you.

The oxygen sensor fault could be caused by the faulty coil - there could be excess unburnt fuel passing through the exhaust you see.

It is hard to diagnose without the relevant fault numbers from a scan, but take it to a dealer and see what they say (especially if you're covered by the 5 year coil pack warranty).

Cheers,

Mike

5yr Warranty On Coil Pack

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your reply. How do I know if i'm covered by the 5yr warranty on my Coil Pack? I know the history of the car and its never been changed before by the owner before me or by me.

Thanks

Rakam

Self explanatory really - if the coil packs are original to the car and the car is less than 5 years old, then you are covered.

Cheers,

Mike
