...until I realised I have 3 and I'd like to add at least one more.

Introducing Sandy (Ebony BBY, latest addition), Hahn (Atlantik Blau AUA), and Lumi (Silver TDI75), all in Wexford, Ireland.

Lumi is where it all began, and I had 3 unforgettable years with her, but has been out to pasture for 3 years now due to various things crapping out on her, which I should have attended to at the time and didn't, despite the engine running like a sowing machine.

Hahn turned my head online one day when the Lumi love-affair was proving costly, and so Hahn was bought for half of what it would have cost me to get Lumi through an NCT/MOT, and that was that. I entered the realm of petrols.

FF another 3 years and despite wanting a TDI, preferably 90, I couldn't resist Sandy with 69k under her belt, working OSS up top, for small money.

If you haven't experienced a working OSS, even in the depths of November, it's a revelation. I'd be hard-pressed to buy one without it now I like it that much.

The addiction continues.

Am I sufficiently qualified to be allowed membership of the A2's Anonymous Club now?

My real name is John, and I do apologize for the less than pristine presentation of these. It's Ireland, the roads are covered in muck around where I live, so detailing in this weather is a giant waste of time & effort.

John, welcome to the A2BA (A2 Buyers Anonymous) as a fully paid-up member ?

Got to say the Golf wheels work nicely on the blue one. It's the wrong colour for its name in German though ;)

Welcome to A2BA, those wheels do indeed suit blue. I'm with you on OSS, just as well OSS is relatively rare else I might buy more (5 currently though planning on reducing to 3, honest).

That's funny because the hubcaps were growing on me. I actually set the cars up like that to compare and contrast! Sounds like it's two against one so far. I'll swap them over if I get a chance this weekend and see how they look. I was thinking of putting Winters on the steelies and then putting the good-ish Summers I have on the BBY (Nereus fronts, Vredstein Sportrac 5's rear) on to the Golf rims and running the Winters until April before making the switch. Decisions decisions! All advice greatly welcomed.

You mean your going to add another 3 to the collection? :);)?

I nearly had it this week @greywolfhound

Neighbour is in the trade and had a woman looking to trade in her 2 owners from new FSH TDI with 150k and working OSS against a TT she wanted to buy. Rings me up and asks me am I interested. Of course I said 'yes!', despite having only bought the BBY a week previous.

Rings me up next day to say her father talked her out of it, so it was no longer up for grabs. Gutted! It showed me just how deep down the rabbit hole I am with these bloody cars! ?

Nice pics - I thought they were alloys too. Definitely fit the techy A2 vibe.

Agree. Considering the 1.3L ones sell for £54.95 + £19.68 postage each on eBay (aka daylight robbery) I'm happy enough to stick with these. They're a bit tatty, but with a bit of sanding and respray they'll be very presentable. As long as they stay on.

Four rings to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them.
