I’m referring to the very Xcarlink that I had as have no experience with other aftermarket module. The specific module I had was the SKU718 which is the Bluetooth variant. From memory it also has a 3.5mm audio in port along with a SD card port.

The adapter/splitter required should come with the kit but cannot confirm this as it was so long ago. That said they are cheap enough to obtain:

XCarLink don’t make a specific device that allows two products to be connected simultaneously to the CD changer port. However, a number of their products have a pass-through function that allows the CD changer to remain connected.
This is the product that I’d recommend…

Indeed, I remember helping you with the transfer from one A2 to another. It was 11th Nov 2020 (Armistice Day) …just over 2 years ago. Time flies.

Great memory you have Sir. Yes this rings a bell now where it was within weeks of purchasing Project 250 which needed iPhone connectivity and had the Xcarlink boxed up in the garage for some 7 months but hit a stumbling block, where I left the Mini ISO spliter/adapter in my previous commuter. Quickly resolved with purchasing a similar item linked above. Think you might have even supplied a link, thank you if you did.

Ended up being a short lived enhancement as not 12 months/4000 miles later see the A2 with a double DIN dashboard transplant along with a full suite of A3 infotainment items.
