Increased tax on Diesel?

If they tax on co2 per km that would be good for us at 119g. I'm doubtful about this story though -

a) the average EU tax on fuel is less than ours anyway, so if they harmonise tax it'd probably bring our prices down, and
b) Diesel is dominant on the continent and therefore they'd never manage to pass it.

I spotted it as well:mad: but I don't think that they would get it through.

Saying that knowing the EU, nothing surprises me now, when they bring out their great new idear:eek:

it's already been said - it's the equivalent of 1c per litre per year in tax. Scaremongering from the media, big-time.
