Indicator relay possibly or another relay connected to steering input?

Rather a strange and recent problem. It has had a full service recently but since then there is an odd sound when driving since the service.
When indicating to turn all is as normal. But once the indicator cancels there is a double speed relay click for a few seconds. All indicator bulbs seem to check out as working, I checked by using the hazard lights, the indicator lights flash at the normal speed. No one has flashed me so I presume all is well.
But once the indicators have cancelled, once the steering wheel turns in either direction there is a slightly muffled double rate clicking.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it may be and where to investigate?

Sounds like the self cancelling mechanism is sticky or on the blink, ().

That sounds very much like a failure in the electrics at the base of the indicator stalk. I've seen this symptom numerous times before.

It isn’t at all worrying. It’s a dodgy contact in the complex hinge system at the base of the stalk. Under my nose, it’s a 10-minute fix, and the replacement part is peanuts.

I’ve had this and replaced a few parts before I did the stalk. It’s a very annoying noise
