Hi Gritty,
These are the vacuum / sensor lines that operate the various actuators for the egr, waste gate & pressure sensors if fitted etc.

So are these vacuum pipes standard amf issue as I also have a later 54 plate bhc tdi and these pipes are not present?

The BHC and ATL have what is called an ‘N75’ valve which is located on the drivers suspension turret in the engine bay with vac pipes coming from it.

The AMF’s have them as per you’re picture...

Do you have the service booklet with you’re cars? If so, first page should have a sticker which you’re VIN, engine code and lots of small ‘option codes’ you can decipher these online to discover what each one refers to. I think someone uploaded a list on here but I cannot find it at present. If you don’t have a service book, said sticker should be on the boot floor in you’re car.

If you can find the build codes label either in the battery compartment or in the cover of your manual this will have a bunch of three letter/number codes such as 0F3, A2O etc. Enter these separated by semicolons to the box on the site below and click ; it turns them into a list of options (admittedly in Audi shorthand jargon but you can get the gist of it).
