Is the pan/tray under the boot removable?

Is the pan/tray under the boot, the one that contains the battery, removable/replaceable?

How is it fixed in place?

Is it via a crews, bolts, rivets, glue or welding?

Does anyone have a part number for it?

I believe it was bonded in at manufacturer, so not easily removed nor replaced as it would probably be destroyed upon removal.

Why is No4 referring to a wheel well? ?

Because it fits between the rear wheel wells.

Yep the spare when fitted lives on top of the battery, so again they are correct ( if you think of the battery compartment as a spare wheel well as it would be on a conventional car ).

.. and it's a really hard fiberglass reinforced plastic. It can be removed with an awful lot of effort.

Often for sale with the metal work roughly sawn off the car!!!
