Well, my mums been happy with her 1.4 SE for a few years now, so I have just done the deal (for my fiancee) on a 1.4tdi Sport 2003 (03) with 28k miles (serviced at 24k) for £8599. I reckon I saved a few £'s by buying independantly rather than main dealer. It still has warranty and will come with 12months tax.

Im pleased that it will have the larger 42litre fuel tank, as 34litres is nothing!

Does the TDI drink engine oil like the 1.4 petrol?

Oh, and this is my first post :)

Does the 1.4 petrol drink oil?

I have only put 3/4 litre in over 3 years and 2 cars!

1.4 Petrol Special Edition, Ebony Black, grey leather, heated seats, climate, opensky, five spoke alloys for SWMBO (Replaced a 2002 1.4 Petrol SE) Honda Accord Tourer 2.2 iCDTi for me.

although, Audi would tell you that up to a litre every thousand miles is 'within spec' !

our 1.9tdi A4 hasn't used a drop since new - I'm hoping that the A2 follows this trend.

Mums A2 gets through 500ml every 2000-3000miles. The dealership have looked into the matter and they confirm everything is ok with the car.
