If I didn’t know any better I would have thought it was the flooded Somerset levels ..we are on them ..recently we have had some glorious weather ..I think for us that’s changing next week but we need a drop of rain ..
Only a couple of months ago it looked this ? looking at same view now you would think it never happened green meadows ..we are lucky we are up on the hill ..

Cheers Paul. Wow good pic, it's hard to believe this was just a short while ago. It's been a terrible autumn / winter, i couldn't get anywhere near the banks which properly ruined plans a good pal and i had for fishing the Avon. And now we have the Virus. When will it all end? Good job we are having fantastic weather and not a moment too soon.

Beautiful shots, Clone valley lake I presume , not Savay by any chance?
Keith

Thanks Keith, you're spot on it's the Colne valley. Savay isn't far, i can't say exactly where it is, club Chairman wouldn't be happy it's strictly private no fish reports are aloud nothing. I can tell you it's not Broadwater, nor the Cons, Fisheries, Hairfield etc, it's a British Airways water so you could find out that way. ?

No worries i know the rules, I used to fish Harefield & savay back in the 80’s, I thought it looked a bit like the canal bank on savay.

You're thinking of the Horse and Barge canal bank with the marina opposite. Are you mentioned in the Savay book written by John Harry?
Yes that’s the location, I fished it on a season ticket for 5 years,
No, but fished with a lot of the anglers in the book & the Savay cronicals.

Hi Murdo
Made me smile.

Plus a bit of on line tutoring - here's a 'saying' tip for Kitty on remembering the rainbow colours which my uncle taught me when I was a similar age

Richard Of York Gained Battles In Vain = First letter of each word gives the colours Red Orange Yellow Green Indigo Violet

Cheers Spike

? for Husqvarna - bought a 701 supermoto recently but only managed to get 200miles on it before lock down kicked in ?

Similar position with my brand new Triumph Street Triple. Given my age, I haven't got time to gradually work up to my ideal bike, so I went all in. CBT 16th Dec '19, theory test (arrgghh) 14th Jan, Module 1 11th Feb, Module 2 20th Feb, delivery of new bike 6th March. It's now ~ 100 miles off its first service and all the dealers are closed except for essential work. Unfortunately the expensive toy of an ageing new biker doesn't count as essential. I know many will think it's daft to jump straight in at that level, but what the hell; three cylinders and I'm smitten. Picture also shows our other new project, Gracie, the 7-month old labradoodle.
