Keeps losing power

1.4 petrol came back from wales 2 weekends ago the epc light came on loss of power had to pull up on hard shoulder. Left it a couple of minutes started car light went off drove 80miles home no problems. Went to Wales this weekend and did the same again on way back. And now done the same twice locally. Since Sunday anybody any ideas cheers
 
Brake light switch big cause of EPC light coming on - but not with any loss of power in my personal experience.
 
Injectors? Was there any misfiring (ie, cylinders going down creating the loss of power)? What is the mileage ? Sorry for abruptness of shorthand, just about to take daughter up for bedtime.
