Steve's recent remarks about his 17" wheels has prompted me to ask about repairs to alloy wheels.

I have the 17" wheels and yes, they do look wonderful but unfortunately, I also keep kerbing them and have had a particularly bad kerbing day today.

So, I would now like to get them sorted out before they deteriorate further and I wonder if any members can recommend somewhere in or near-ish to Sheffield that would do a very good job at a reasonable price?

Sounds daft, but I've always taken them to the dealers:

They don't actually refurb themselves, but they use an independent, who gives a hefty discount to the dealer, who normally passes this on to you.

Last time I had mine done, it was £50 per wheel.

Thanks to Doctor and Mike for typically useful tips. I think I will probably save up and visit my local dealer as I am not particularly handy with anything practical.
