Key Fob case changed but problems

I have changed my key fob casing for a new one off ebay. Changed over key and circuit board to new casing. It locks/unlocks the doors ok but when I try and start the engine it immediately stalls and the immobiliser cuts in (a light on the dash comes on showing a car with a key at the bottom of it).

So what have I missed? I couldn't see any other electronics in the old key fob but I must have missed something?

It's ok, panic over. I realised I missed the transponder chip out of the old key fob. Swapped that over and now it all works perfectly. DOH!

how did you get the board out without damaging it? im looking to swap mine out but dont want to destroy my key in the process

I used a dremel and basically destroyed the old fob from the back to cut out the copper pins.. once these are removed the board drops out.... the pins are needed for the new fob
