Key immobiliser chip programming

Is anyone near south Oxfordshire (Thame) able to program a new ID48 chip for me?
Happy to travel.

I think Timpson can do it (albeit in a different way using signal/code from current key) but they will want to sell me a whole new key.

One of mine broke when replacing the key cover plastics. I have a new ID48 chip.

Ok, I now have the following;

• New ID48 chip installed in key fob
• SKC ID
• VCDS Ross Tech (full version, all access)

Can anyone help me by simply describing the menus / steps I need to visit on VCDS Ross Tech to code the remote?

Reading various threads it has not been clearly described as far as I can see.

I am fairly proficient with VCDS Ross Tech.

Hi, I am no stranger to VCDS and have paired keys in the past (always after swapping a CCCU) and I have managed to do it. But now I am just trying to add a key I am failing miserably. I have tried every different approach (and there are a few) but nothing !! I even cleared all keys via VCDS...

Here to help David,

Please do drop me a PM if you need a hand. What you’re about to do really does take a couple of minutes. Make sure you have all keys available in the car when adding the new ID48 transponder chip.
