Kimbolton country Fayre 2017

Morning folks, interested in coming, and putting Baby Boomer on the club stand (maybe Po too if I can persuade the rest of the family), BUT I won't be able to get to cambs by 9am (more likely about 10-10:30) - would somebody be able to meet me near the gates with one of the display passes?

All the best,

If you pm me with your email I will send you the pass to print out. Can I ask if you haven't already to put your name on the calendar link on the first page please. Re reading your post again is it two A2's you want on the stand? Glad your able to make it. Cheers Mike and Yvonne

Is this the same place as last year?

Hi all you A2 fans--just a few days to go till the kimbolton show. Show cars are now looking like 800-900 plus all the other attractions-i'm looking forward to the fly past.

So we all need to meet up before going into the show as i have passes to give to each car on the stand so i need you all to get to the meeting point to leave at 9.10am on the sunday morning. We have located a McDonalds on the GREAT NORTH ROAD, BRAMPTON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, PE28 4NQ

IF YOU DON'T OR CANT GET THERE FOR 9.00AM PLEASE CALL ME--SO PM ME IF YOU NEED MY NUMBER. No cars will be able to park on our stand without the pre numbered passes but one of us will walk back to the entrance if needed.
We will be able to use the show car entrance so speeding up entry. If i can ask for some help putting the gazebos up-just to keep the sun off you understand ! Please bring seats/blankets with you and a mug if you prefer a proper mug to paper cups as we will be offering tea and coffee. We won't be offering food at this show but we are close to catering so I'm sure we won't go hungry. Really looking forward to seeing you all and all the attractions they are offering-i'm hoping the sporting bears car club have there collection of exotic cars inc the koenigsegg if only i could fit in it.

Any questions just ask. Cheers mike and vonnie

Hi all as we have had a few late takers to the stand--we have decided that the pitch will not be big enough for the gazebo so we won't be offering tea and coffee BUT there are food and drink sellers very close to hand. Just remember a seat or blanket to sit on.
Many thanks in your understanding and I'm sure those that have been before will agree its a great show. Mike and Yvonne

Drive safe people the weather here in Huntingdon is lovely and long may it continue. I'll see you at the McDonald's I'll probably get there from about 8.30. Cheers mike and Yvonne

We had a brilliant day today... fantastic weather and great company !. The venue is perfect and one to pencil in for next year. Thanks as always to Mike and Vonnie for arranging this social and for sorting our passes out.

On the way home the A1 was completely shut Northbound due to an accident so we had to deviate across to the M1. A journey that should have taken 2hrs took 4hrs but it didn,t spoil the day. :)

Wow, what another great event. A fabulous turn out, collection of A2s and their owners.

The weather blessed us all day, at times being too hot. The Kimbolton show is my favourite of the calendar and this year was another delight. Cars from all eras, an array of marques and in all states of condition and tune. Add in the stalls, live music and dancing, family fun activities and the complementary World War Two fly-past for a grand day out.

As always a big thanks to Mike and Vonnie for organising our club stand and for Kayleigh's surprise birthday cake - a very kind and humbling touch. Thanks to all those future Britain's got talent singers who joined in the birthday chorus too.

Thanks also to everyone who attended and for making the event that bit more special. I'm sorry if I didn't get around to talking to everyone, the day flew by. I know that I didn't get to speak with Pras for example, so apologies indeed.

I'll upload some photographs from the DSLR when I get chance. For now a quick couple from our car park monopoly pre- setting off for the show in true convoy style. The last picture is my son with his non-hyper inducing beverage.

P.S. if viewing on a tablet, you may need to click the image to get the full picture - I do like to enlarge the images, but nine times out of ten it chops the edge off.

We had that problem too, had to divert via A15 to Lincoln. Arrived a little late but safe. R,G,&T

Thanks all for a fantastic day out, we three enjoyed ourselves, as predicted Rosie slept most of the way home.
Special thanks to Mike & Vonnie for putting it together.
Again those who were unable to attend missed a special event. Something for everyone no matter the age, male or female.
Plus some beautiful aluminium cars and a great bunch of people, a good time was had by all.
Cheers Rosie, Graham and Trish.

I can't really add to what has already been said,Kimbolton really is a great show! It was great to meet many of you and those beautiful A2's. Similar to you Special edition, we couldn't get of the A1 so sat on it for 2hrs before it got going again. Annoying as it always is but as you said it didn't ruin a great day. :)
