Lovely to meet everyone yesterday and put some faces and names to forum handles. I look forward to meeting you again at future socials.

Many thanks to Vonnie and Mike (hope you're feeling better) for all their hard work getting it together, and to Nasra and Sarge for nourishing and watering us - those were very tasty pakora :)

It really was a great day out. Here are my shots of our convoy meetup and the stand.

Fabulous show again wonderful weather and lovely to see friends old and new alike. Thanks Darren + 1 (can't remember the name) oops, for removing the headlights for the bulb replacements which turned out to be much harder than expected on the drivers side. Thanks also to Jeffry for the brake light bulb much appreciated mate.

Such a shame Mike had to leave early Vonnie and hope he recovers quickly back to feeling himself again.

We're looking forward to next years show.

Here are a few of the other cars at the show that caught my eye. The yellow Chevette was immaculate, it had just been resprayed and only had 4700 miles on the clock! But it couldn't be entered for the judging because it wasn't a daily driver.

Great to see you again Ian, thanks for the photo of JRV :) Looking "cool", however have to report that I roasted on the way home... I certainly know how Jeff feels :)

You're welcome, and great to see you again too Jeremy - thanks for the suncream, saved my legs nicely. Shame I forgot about my neck and ears though!

I'd like to add our thanks to all for making this yet another fantastic social and our third Kimbolton in successive years. It really is one of the best events with something for everyone of all ages and with varying interests. Huntingdon racecourse proved an excellent venue to watch England win and start off the weekend in style.

A big thanks as always to Mike and Vonnie for their organisation and bringing the usual array of flags and sundry items and the much needed gazebo. Such a shame Mike had to depart before the show; echoing others good wishes for the speediest of recoveries. Lovely to meet Mike's parents and other new faces, in addition to the regulars.

Thanks also to Nasra for the excellent cooking as always; though it was a touch too hot the sun for me to want to eat on this occassion.

I'll hopefully sort out some of my photographs in the next few days and add some to this thread.

Well done for getting shots of the Spitfire! Fantastic noise that made. Lynette my other half was rather jealous to hear about that, especially since I had a Lancaster bomber over my house the previous weekend.

Good spot on the XJS with the custom hatch conversion too, I completely missed that!

Always special to be able to, for many of us that Spitfire represents something very special and always make me feel very proud.

I thought the hat in the XJS cargo bay looked quite apt, serious cargo in a special car.
