Was nice meeting you all again and was nice to see some new members who have recently joined this awesome club :)

See you all at Audi’s in the park :)

Not long back. Another excellent Kimbolton Country Fayre and A2OC social.

It was great to be out again with team A2OC, regulars, parents of regulars and new faces alike. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our time in such great company.

The array of A2s and overall numbers did the club credit. Condition, spec, power-plant, all unimportant, each car has its own story and each owner a bond with their car. inclusivity, family and community spirit in abundance.

The A2 is certainly a modern classic, the only thing that does it a disservice amongst those not in the know, is simply how modern in design it looks to this day. In this area and many others the design has more than stood the test of time. An encouraging conversation was had with a mark one Golf GTI owner though. He was telling Dave and I how many years ago people were critical of him and his wife taking their now 20 year owned GTI to classic shows, saying "it isn't a classic". A moment to savour and context perfect to the A2.

Thanks to Mike and Yvonne for organising this one again and to everyone that made the weekend extra special.

What a show, I still can't believe it was only £5 entrance fee, with so much to see! Thank you Mike & Yvonne for organising :)

We had a great time, there were at least 5 club A2's I'd not seen before and I had a great time seeing friends and talking with you about your cars, how they got to where they are and where they're going.

Just sitting around people watching it was really nice to see the positive compliments about our little aluminium friends, someone even regarded to me that they're a classic now, does that make it official?

Special mention to @Proghound for proving the TARDIS qualities of the A2 once again! A full interior, a full set of pepperpots, with tyres, 3 people in the car & deck chairs!

I'd say so. A modern classic way ahead of its time and mid 90s origins. As a club we can promote this by adopting classic status into our everyday language. It's here and now folks. There's been talk of rebranding the club in recognition of this. A wee step too far in my personal view - however a vibrant owners forum and presence at car shows such as Kimbolton will only assist to fortify this view.

We are all proud owners of a classic car. ???

I was amazed when I was only asked for £10 when there were three of us in the car. I was expecting £10 adults & £5 for Elise but apparently it was just £10 for the car.

Plus the spare I set out with under the false floor ... oh, and a football :)

Had a great day, met some lovely people who made us feel very welcome. Learnt lots. Some washing and polishing tomorrow. Thanks Vic and Carole

We got home just before 10pm last night. Fired up the MacBook and was so pleased with the positive feed back. I really feel this is the best social we now go to - so much more than just a car show. A real family day out.
Thank you to all of you for making the day such fun - the cars looked great (even if it felt odd seeing my old yellow colour storm) great to see young Louis in his bargain car looking so good and hearing about his plans for improving it, good to see it being saved as I’m sure in some hands it would have been stripped for its parts. Lovely to see some new faces and new A2’s.
I have a few pics from my wander round the show that I’ll add once I edit them to comply with the forums formatting.
Once again thanks all. Regards mike and Yvonne

Some of my pics from yesterday. I originally selected 8 but after uploading them I'm left with just these three that don't require reformatting
It was easier last year when I just took them on my little 'fossil' phone! :D So these are my general shots of our stand and the best one of the Hurricane.
