Komfortblinker

Bringing up an old thread but I would like to install this in my keeper, I've seen the link above for the Cartec one but does anyone have a UK supplier they could recommend please?
Afternoon Steve,

I personally don’t know of any other distributor other than what you’ve no doubt found on eBay:

Maybe this is something that Rick @Rickmeister might be able to assist with if you’re hitting delivery hurdles. Let me know if you do go for this option as I also need one for Project 250.

There might be another option if you’re confident. Have you seen this thread about making your own?

Kind regards,

Tom

Thanks Tom, surprisingly I hadn't found that link on eBay, not sure why my search had failed to bring this up so thats helpful thank you as it's slightly cheaper than buying on the cartec site.

I did read the thread about building your own but I'm lacking in soldering skills so plug and play is the way to go for me!

If @Rickmeister has another option I'd be interested before I hit 'Buy it now'

Thanks

Hi Steve,

Rick was mentioned to assist with delivery as I thought you’d had issues purchasing from the eBay seller.

All seems in order for you to hit the button.

I’ll purchase one soon enough as part of 250s transformation over Christmas.

Kind regards,

Tom

Tempted to buy the above and lenghten the wires allowing the flasher unit to potentially be placed behind the panel under steering wheel might also be able to hear when I am indicating then!

Komfortblinker is the one thing I was keen to have... saw this resurrected post got on the interweb and two (!) days later it arrived.

Simple instructions...less simple to execute for my fat sausage fingers but it is all simple and as people say - plug and play

I wrestled with the cubby- it bowed to my perseverance; removed the ashtray for the ability to tickle the sod from underneath; left some DNA from skinned knuckles on the inners; got my daughter (she of slim fingers and long nails) to assist; got the job DONE.
I did actually wonder what ‘Komfortblinker’ was, now I know?. Funny thing is my fizzy already has the three flash indicator capability, the 1.4 does not…. ? I thought the indicator module was on its way out?? not at all, it just needs the komfortblinker. I agree with previous posts that one blink is dangerous so use the indicator fully on the 1.4.

Hi Steve

This is the only place i know where to get them from, its fairly straightforward on the site. Its a STD site once on it you can muddle your way through to get this ordered and from what i remember it arrive fairly quickly.

Cheers Phil

Ordering off Ebay is a much easier option how times have changed wasn't available when i ordered mine.

Cheers Phil

Morning gents...is this one not the same at a much better price?

I'm thinking about ordering one too, maybe a bulk order and spread the shipping costs? Only a thought.

Guys I have used this company before now for a couple of items and found their quality to be excellent. here is the Komfortblinker... It is the same one as listed by Tom. Final price may be better as no ebay fees by going direct to the company.

It is plug and play so far safer than the flimsy but cheaper Scotch Blocks connection type..

I'm interested in ordering one of these too but also just wondered if you had any experience of their cruise control wiring harness and if it's recommended, as I've had a brand new genuine cruise control stalk for a long time now that I would like to fit/get fitted along with the Komfortblinker? ?

Yes, I would be interested in splitting postage costs with you, and as you say if there are others interested too it would be nice to see the cost continue to lessen further ?

Morning Graham,

Good spot and alway worth looking around. Of note though, its actally cheaper to purchase this from them via eBay opposed to direct from their website. Steve @RS11SMS confirms this in Post #82 and has since purchased from eBay.

For clarification:

Here is the payment basket on their website. Cheaper by €5 for the item itself but astronomical postage:

Heres the same item in my eBay basket with shipping to there UK selected; €55.45 total delivered:

Buyers please do your homework as it looks to be €7 cheaper on eBay.

Kind regards,

Tom

Guys be carefull with this one as it may not work, when first started looking for one of these nobody could find one that worked. I found this company from someone on the German A2 forum. And asked them where they got theirs from. The one I ordered and I know works, its plug and play and can be fitted in minutes.

Cheers Phil

Morning Tom,

If there was enough interest then possibly the best (and cheapest) option would be to contact the company direct and do a club group buy, as I would have thought they would do us a multiple item purchase discount, a combined, hence much cheaper postage cost and most importantly of all ensure that what we are getting is correct as they wouldn't want any negative comments or feedback from an 'Audi' affiliated club? ?

Was this regarding the Komfortblinker or the Cruise Control harness?

Thanks

Morning Neil,

Great ideas if there is demand. More than happy to investigate another Group Order.

Do you want to start to compile a list on a separate thread?

Edit: @A2Z, I’ve just started a thread here regards obtaining a discount from a group order.

Kind regards,

Tom

Thank goodness for that Tom!
I was just starting to do the same but would probably have taken me half the day ??

Following with interest... and the postage charge is understandable. The Brexit situation increased prices a lot, overnight. I use DHL, you'll see UK is now in the same category as Switzerland. I would imagine for a group buy, you would get a few of those items in a Packchen M box at €12.70 which is online print your own label. Outlet €16:00 is if you take it to the postie.
