Kujiwara's Colour Storm FSI

I hope you had the 'pipe of death' the main coolant hose down the back of the engine done while the head was off. If not, get one to take back, along with the Y-pieces in various places where pipe route diverge - or better still, make up metal replacemens. All plastic parts in the cooling system go brittle with the 105degree temperature that FSI's run at. I'd also take a pair of front lower control arms with you, preferably the cast type, as the pressed steel OEM ones on your car's model year will already be rusting out from the inside, and this won't be helped by any salt on Canadian roads in winter.

Good tips, I will keep that in mind

Need help identifying an issue with the car, took the car to an MOT center and failed emissions, they tried replacing the O2 sensor and the car would not start after (I think they wired it wrong), tried putting in the old sensor and still wouldn't start. Car does crank. Does the FSI wiring system have any fuses protecting the ECU from being damaged by this?
