Label files for VCDS measuring blocks

Good afternoon,

Does anyone have a label file for VCDS-lite for the CCCU measuring blocks?

Mine are all blank and while I’m sure I could work them out with time I wondered if this had already been done before.

I’ve got a registered copy and emailed ROSS Tech for support but I think we all know who the A2 experts are…

Perfect. Thank you.

It seems that the label file for the CCCU isn’t included in VCDS-lite (even when registered and updated) but is available in the full VCDS program.

Happily Ross-Tech have responded and forwarded me a label file to install. Quick service too.

And the file name and date? Which directory are you storing it in?

Hi @audifan.

It’s called 8Z0-959-433.lbl file

I’ve just put it in the labels folder in the program installation.

Hopefully that’ll sort it but I’ll need to wait until after work to check.

Yes that is the file I have. It is dated 2015 and appears in 4 folders that I think are called
Labels
Labels.old
Labels.older
Labels.oldest

Same file in each location.

Can you share the label file please?
Mac.

Another reason why Lite, even Lite registered is just that the Light version.

Indeed. I wasn’t expecting the stars but on the lite version when you go into measuring blocks it says ‘not available in unregistered’ - - so the main reason I registered was for the labelled measuring blocks.

No new faults. The alarm unit is still incommunicado.

I cleared the lock faults and locked, unlocked and opened and closed all the doors one at a time and setting the alarm to ‘safe’ the doors. All were fine except the boot lid which is showing as ‘closed’ even when it’s open. It works fine but says ‘closed’.

With the labels I could see which door was which and which lid was which. I could work it out but preferred to have labels.

Hi @PlasticMac,

Sorry. It’s 01134 49-00 - Alarm Horn (H12) - No Signal/communications.

That'll be the battery in the sounder. It's self powered, charges from the car, but will (when it's working) sound even if the car battery is disconnected.
You may be able to replace the battery. Not sure with the A2, I've done a similar fix on my TT.
Edit: It is very like the TT, here's a how to:
