Lambda sensor for 1.4 Petrol engine

Hi everyone!
I have a petrol A2 with a 1.4 engine (AUA) and for some years the engine light is being constantly on. All the technicians told me that the root of the problem is the Lambda sensor, but I can't seem to find a part number or a model of a sensor that I could buy, does someone know which is the part number?

Sorry for my poor English! Greetings from Italy!

Hi, and welcome to the club!

The Lambda sensors were supplied by NTK (more commonly known as the spark plug manufacturer NGK) and are both still available new.

The front sensor is LZA11-V1 (stock no. 1825) and the rear sensor is OZA510-AU1 (stock no. 1782)

Thank you so much!

Despite what your techs told you, there are other causes than a failing Lambda sensor that can trigger the engine management light.

The most obvious one is an ageing exhaust providing insufficient flow due to internal rust in either of the silencers, but most likely the back box. Have you ever replaced the exhaust?

If your exhaust is blocked, that will trigger an apparent Lambda failure.

I’ve done some research and I can’t find the sensors at a decent price, on Amazon (Italy) I’ve found an aftermarket forward sensor, the description of the product states that it’s compatible with the Audi A2 but I wanted to make sure that I don’t buy a piece of rubbish… Could you please take a look at it? I’ll leave the model number and the manufacturer! Thank you for your help and time! (Manufacturer: Germban Model no.:030906262K)
