Leak eek! Help

Hi, could anyone tell me the part number for the solid shiney narrow plastic coolant pipe in the engine bay. It is the one that splits off three ways and connects directly to the lower rubber pipe at the back of the firewall near the top of the engine going into the cabin.

Sorry I can't be any more specific I'm away from home at the minute and the leak happend yesterday.

The leak is from the rubber hose coming into the engine bay where it connects to the pipe described above with a metal collar.

Has anyone else had this pipe go?

Many thanks

Jonathan

what type of A2 do you have, TDi, petrol or FSi? Try to post a photo (even a mobile phone shot would help). If possible, get Audi assistance out to help, or failing that a repair tape until a new pipe can be sourced. Also, keep a keen eye on the temperature gauge and if it goes much over half-way, STOP!!!

If you have Audi assist call them out they will do a temp or if they have the part perm repair if you are lucky

Hi guys.

Have found the number of the pipe in question. Is is...

Part number is 8Z0121075A PTT
>ST 37.4<

What I need though is the number of the rubber hose that connects to the firewall from the above. If anyone with a CDROM manual can assist then that would be appreciated.

Best

Hi Jonathan,

Take a look at the attached screen grab from ETKA.

Item 19 is the tube you have identified. Which pipe are you looking for help with?

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Skipton,

Thanks for the prompt reply and posting the diagram.

My car is leaking at point 40 (the joint between 19 and 21). Is this a special type of metal clip?

Also part number 43 looks iffy also.

Thanks

Jonathan

The clip is just a standard Audi spring clip and it's very unlikely that the clip is the cause of the leek.

I'd say that there is a split or fray at the joint under the clip and that ideally, you need to replace 19 and 21 (part numbers 8Z0 121 075 and 8Z0 121 056 respectively).

When you say 43 looks iffy, where do you mean - there are 5 x 43 on that drawing?

Cheers,
Mike
