Took a little thought!
The front one hooks over the service module flap at one end and into a 1" hole in the bottom of the bumper.
The back one hooks onto the tie down loop on the removable floor support and onto the bottom edge of the bumber.
Plates themselves are Halfords self adhesive stuck onto squares of plastic cut from a Wilkinsons plastic document wallet. Hooks (apart from the service module hook which is 1.5mm) are from domestic 2.5mm section cable (not flex) with the insulation left on. With care you can trim the wire so it is shorter than the insulation so there is no risk of scratching. String and a short lengh of 1/4 elastic (from wife's sowing box) used to link plates to hooks. They stay on at 70 and are easily removed. Can get some photos if you wish.
He failed on Tuesday - 2 minor and one serious fault (examiner thought the gap was too small to pull into!) took the test in a the professional instructor's car, not the A2. Re-test in 4 weeks.
