Leather Care Cleaner

I have been looking at some leather cleaners, halfords have about 3 but there is also the simoniz packet wipes you can buy. I noticed today that halfords have the 3 for 2 on the autoglym products so it is an ideal time to purchase some new cleaning products.

They have two items for leather the leather spray cleaner and the leather cream.

I was just wondering if any one else uses autoglym for their leather interior seats. There is some other products such as turtlewax leather cream, but the autoglym looks good and not had any problems before with their kit.

Topics on here seem to be few years old of leather interior care so starting a new one for ideas. If anybody uses anything else they recommend let me know :D

Have and still do use both autoglym products on the leather interior in the S4 - can fully recommend them but always on the look out for something new so let me know what you go for!

Used Autoglym products on my two previous leather-seated cars, certainly seemed to do the trick.

I use a damp clean microfibre cloth first and then Gliptone. It works really well and leaves that opulent leather smell.

I wouldn't bother with the branded leather cleaner. A professional cleaner came round to my new house and showed me how to clean my white leather sofa, properly effective! I have those auto gym cleaner and tried them...

Use small amount of Fairy liquid, Soft spunge, smoothly and gently apply circular motion. Use clean cloth to wipe any excessive foam. Wipe clean with moist cloth. I can tell you the cleaning effect cannot be more obvious when you're cleaning a piece of (originally) snow white leather! Some rather stubbon grime was still trapped in the grain at corners, I took a toothbrush and with care, all sparkling white :-D (only the stichings cannot be completely white)

To finish and keep it nice, buy tesco value baby lotion (if it is good enough for baby skin!) and value kitchen towel. Work those lotion in like your autogym leather conditioner (basically similar thing in a different bottle but not suitable for baby soft skin). This is another top tip from friend of mine who has worked in the car industry for many years, works a treat!

For me there is no competition, honestly i have tried all makes over the years!
Gliptone is the best, by a long way, they know what they are doing they are used by the best and the conditioner is also the only one that leaves the leather smell which lasts, it is also great value, it is from a UK company and they are really nice people.
