My left hand engine mount appears to be worn, that is the rubber that sits in the cradle is looking a bit overly compressed. Is this hard to change or do people simply put an extra slice of metal or something in the cradle to take up the slack?

You are lucky that it is not a BHC engine code. I had to buy a new one for that and it was over £300 !!!!!!

I am assuming that the AMF one should be cheaper and replacing it is the only way really.

Not too difficult to change at all, couple of trolley jacks and a plank of wood to support the weight of the engine and then just bolt off bolt on.

I have a BHC one here, but it seems you have an AMF

Thanks for the replies, I do have an amf according to the plate. Glad to hear it is a simple job although I may just superglue a shim in the cradle while I wait for a replacement to turn up.

The section towards the front seems to wear the most 3-5 mm on mine (AMF)

Hi Ron Davis,
Thought it probably would be , mines been that way since I bought it in 2015, I jet washed my engine bay as the alloy parts were showing signs of Corrosion/ salt deposits which I think adds to the wear issues in these areas as they are abrasive in nature, since this has been done the wear hasn’t increased but I would be interested to know the cost or part number of item if you go down that route.
I have some special rubber anti vibration strip at work that I was going to try but am currently off work so I can’t ?
