Oilman Oilman, need some help. My oil indicator beeped, so I looked at the menu and got confused by this normal oil vs the long life oil. One can be mixed, one can't! What do I need?

My indicator has since gone silence after I took the dip stick out tried to check the level (which is horribly difficult to read). I have a bottle of SLX at the back of my car (comes with the car and in audi's little oil pouch) does that mean its the same as what's in the engine already? Can I just top it up (could be mixing)?

anyone has any idea?

thanks

Use the top up bottle - SLX will be used at first fill to allow variable servicing.

Humps,

Use the SLX in the pouch, it's there for your convenience.

BTW,

The switch behind the serviceflap isn't for the alarm or remote locks. It's for the boardcomputer. Whenever the flap is opened the oil-beep silences for some time. The sensor can't read the immediate fill amount, it needs some more time.
So opening the flap causes the oil alarm to silence. Probably even the washerfluid-beep......

Sorry to miss this one but I've been on holiday.

The recommended oil is 0w-30 and we have a number on the shelf that are VW/Audi approved.

Fuchs is the best value and "factory fill" more than 50% of all Audi/VW's or you can opt for Castrol, Mobil or Total but they're all dearer.

You can always email us for prices.

Cheers
Simon
