Long-time admirer of the A2

I wanted to say a quick hello to everyone at the A2OC. I'm a motoring journalist and have written about cars (and bikes) for more than 30 years. I've also written a couple of books. I'm old enough to remember the A2 launch and how stunned my colleagues were when they saw it (and worked out how much it must be costing to manufacture). I tested most of the A2s when they were on the Audi fleet and always felt it was a hugely under-rated car (particularly in comparison to the Mercedes A Class at the time). Now I've inherited a somewhat neglected silver TDI and I am in the process of restoring it. Although I'm never short of a car to drive (usually someone else's) my admiration for the A2 has only grown over time. Well done to everyone for helping keep the legend alive

Welcome on board...my first A2 was a silver tdi, have moved on since that one, but still smile when I see it (sold it locally)....I hankered after one for years, then bit the bullet and bought it....but knew very little about them....roll on a few years...i rest my case.
