Hi there
I have just bought 2001 A2 - love but it does not have a parcel shelf - (thing that hides what is in the boot). Anybody know where I could get one?

Thanks

Thanks so much

Hi there
Thanks so much. i actually contacted a dealer and he told me that I need the roller blind - do you think that the parcel shelf would be OK...or do you know ehere I could get a roller blind??

Many thanks
Rois

Don't know what he's on about to be honest - the parcel shelf itself is of a roller-blind design.

Take a look at the black plastic mouldings at the top of and behind the rear seats: if there are a number of curved triangular holes there, you have all you need to fit the parcel shelf I referred to in the Ebay listing.

Just to confuse matters, there is a separate roller blind available for the A2, which covers the rear window.

If it's a parcel shelf you need (and not the false floor) then get the Ebay item - it's all you need.
Cheers,

Mike

Hi Rois
The e.bay link that Skipton provided is 'the thing that hides what's in the boot'. It locks in place just behind the top of the rear seat backrests and works like a roller blind. Fully extended (like the picture) it hides everything but it can also be retracted for easier access or for stacking taller items.
Hope this makes things clearer

Cheers Spike

Roller Blind

Just purchesed one from a specialist breakers, £80+ vat.
The dealer price is £140 inc.

Our A2 came with a broken one so this may appear on EBay shortly if interested.

The plastic end cap is missing so it will not retract like a blind & will not stay tight across the space as there is no tension to hold it, might be repairable (bodgeable) although spares for it are not available from Audi.

As it happens I have a spare retractable parcel shelf (or whatever its called), the only thing is you didnt say what colour you needed (or did I miss it?) Its dark grey I think (not black as I thought I was buying at the time) and not new but in good nick, if you are interested I will dig it out for you, I would want what I paid for it back (about 40 quid I think) plus P&P. If not, its off to eBay with it!
