Loss of power,all warning lights on.

Hi all. Travelling on the M4 today from Colchester to Gloucester. All the warning lights came on with the audible beep. Lost power,with no response from the throttle. Managed to pull over safely. Turned off ignition, and on again,car started up,normal throttle response,and set off again. The only light left on,was the engine management light.
Has anyone else experienced this. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Audi A2 1.4 Petrol. 2002. Regards Paul Thompson.

Glad to know you managed to stop safely. It can be a lot of things, get the system scanned with vcds or vagcom is only that's available, that will show the issues. If engine started again, might be something small, I've had all light come on lately 2x as well, once was caused by tiny crack on breather hose, which messes up the air-fuel mixture, so might worth have a look at it, but 1st get a scan done.
