Loss of POWER

Whilst travelling from europe, my A2 briefly lost power and then later on ABS and ESR lights came on and car slowed down. On stopping and then starting car was fine for another few miles and then same issue. I noticed the bottom hose was cold and the top hose was hot from the radiator. Can this be a sticky radiator thermostat?

Any advise would be appreciated
