Loud humming from driver side front

Hi, this humming has just started , and seems to have got louder today , so I've turned around and brought the car back. I have tried to record it, so could email file, but it doesn't really sound different. All I can say is it is constant, gets louder upwards through the gears, and also downwards as well. 50 mph you would think it's going to explode. Does anyone have any ideas please. 1.4 TDI se 2004.

EGR valve possibly!

Might be wheel bearing
My thoughts exactly as my OSF bearing has started to grumble. Some things to try:

On a safe bit of road drive up to speed and put it into neutral and let the engine revs drop to idle. What happens to the noise, does it disappear as the revs drop to idle or persist, or another way of looking at it is whether it is related to road speed or engine revs

Hi, just took it out and it def persists as it slows. I'll take it to tyre pros tomorrow. They sorted in laws out on their Peugeot 👍

Forgot to say it was def the wheel bearing here. Tyre Pros could not stock or obtain. Got an SNR one fitted for £160 at local garage who did all the recent flywheel work.
