Hello all.
My A2 have a really strange problem, low battery charging voltage. The car is 2002 1.4 petrol aua.
Early in the morning on first cold start the alternator is charging strong 14.2v 14.5v ,and after 10 15 mins its starting to drop until it reaches 12.3v 12.5v. Every cold start is the same story.
I allready replace 1 new 80amp battery and 2 new 90amp alternators ,and its the same no change at all. Evean swap my instrument cluster for testing but no luck again.
The ground wire from engine to body is clean and tight. And the cables on the battery are clean too.
Now im thinking to run extra ground wires from engine to body and from battery to body. Allso i will run one long cablle from alternator to the battery +.
Can someone suggest some other thing to do.
PS: the battery light on the instrument cluster is working fine.
Rising the rpms is not helping for better charging voltage.
The belt for alternator is new and tight.
Allso i never have a flat battery in the morning.
