My Engine management light is on (once again) last time i took it to my mechanic he said i've got a faulty sensor, anyone know how much a new sensor is?!

Also my car is running normally, do i need to take it in for a scan or carry on with the light on (who knows it might go off - its got a mind of its own!)

Thanks

Depends on what sensor is playing up.

If you have any warning beeps, best not to drive the car, but get it checked out asap.

Cheers,

Mike

No beeps no, my car must know when its bank holidays and no one works coz it always seems to break on saturdays!!!

I have no choice but to use it tomorrow night to get to work, have to try and book it in for tues!

I'm just going to have to drive it with engine management light on for the time being as i cannot take it anywhere until monday, its not gonna harm it is it?!

Cheers

on ours we get the light come on if the car has been stalled which of course doesnt happen when i drive it honest
and when it does come on we just leave it until it is in the garage next and the fault code gets reset. the only time i would worry about it is if the car was not diving 'right' or the abs or airbag light was on (in which case i would not allow the car to be driven).

Thanks for reply, it came on as i came off the motorway sat at traffic lights, maybe its just tired, the light is staying on though, sometimes its goes off

The fault code (can't remember the no) showed Fuel Pressure/injector/ something like ST-C3 (prob not even close) but think this means the lambda sensor?!

Cheers
