Q: how can i make my maxi dot to display what radio channel i listen ?

SSK, it would help if you could post a picture of your current display when the car is turned on.
 
In which case you appear to have CAN issues. Is the radio the original unit? Is the instrument cluster the original?
 
Looks like you may be missing CAN though unsure if the 3L follows the same date for CAN, more information here.

The main problem lies in a lack of illumination when you turn the sidelights on - the radio remains dark. - !!! I have this problem too. My butons from the cd player are not iluminated.
 
You have a year 2001 model and your CAN does not support it. Your Concert has three plugs on the back side while you only have 2 connectors in your car as I remember
