Misfire (FSI)

Hey guys,
I’ve had my 1.6fsi for a couple of months now and realised it had a lumpy idle.
I’ve put some fresh denso plugs and Bosch coil packs in but it still keeps throwing the code for misfire cylinder 4 :(

Any similar experiences/ ideas ?

TIA

Han

Get the car on vag com to throw up the codes but my guess and it's an extremely common problem given you've already changed the plugs and coil packs, is an injector.

If the car smells of petrol when you get in it/walk around it And if it struggles to start that means the injector seals have gone 90% sure :( :)

Otherwise your high pressure fuel pump may be on its way out :):(

Or maybe it just needs a new fuel filter :)

Be brutal, how much is it roughly for an injector replacement ( all 4 )

Take your car to an independent VAG specialist and get them to scan it and advise.

If it is indeed injector seals, these come in at £300 - 400 to replace (at least, here in Norwich they do).

But you absolutely need a scan and informed advice ahead of agreeing any work.

Totally agree with @steve_c its most likely the seals so just get them replaced but while the injectors are out I’d advise to get them cleaned and tested :)
