Missing Service Records

Hi All,

Had my A2 1.4 TDi for nearly a year now but I bought it without any service records at a good price(had AA inspection etc etc). I intend to keep the car for a good while because it is just great and was wondering if there is any way of tracking down and getting a copy of the previous service record (assuming it has one).

I've tried writting to the previous owner on the V5 but didn't get any reply.

Can anyone help?
 
Call Audi UK Customer services in Milton Keynes, quoting your registration and/or VIN number. They will be able to tell you where the car was supplied and if it has been serviced within the group. Assuming it has, you can then contact the dealer/s who did the servicing and a duplicate book can be purchased for £14. ( I did this with Ada as the second service had been done at Leeds Audi but not stamped in the original book - so I have 2 service records!)
In the event that itsbeen done outwith Audi, your detective work will be a great deal harder if you cant contact the previous keepers. Be cautious depending on the age mileage of your A2, If its 5 years or over 80k miles I would be thinking about the timing belt getting changed, or if you have a high miler or older car, verifying that it's been done already. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I had the timing belt and water pump changed about a month ago, but thanks for the advice. I'll track down the number and give Customer Services a call.

Audi customer services number is 0800 699888, they were very helpfull with my A4, similar type of query and confirmed in writing as well.

The Audi Number is now 08006998888. I had to call them about something today. Is there a contact numbers page or something we have this can be added to?
