MK1 Audi TT Opinions?

I looked at and drove a couple of Mk1’s and then decided on a Mk2. It’s my daily driver and at 6ft1 just didn’t feel comfortable in the Mk1...
I have a 3.2 Quattro roadster, DSG, magnetic ride, 19” wheels, extended leather...love the noise, love the pace...and the road holding is phenomenal. As a daily it’s a bit like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut!!

Looks exactly the same as the one I had albeit I had the 2.0t with turbine wheels.

Just learned something - I always assumed the 3.2 engine was only fitted to Mk 1 TTs

Cheers Spike

Just a quick update: collected this last week. A 180, light grey full leather, 126K, unmolested but needs catching up on all servicing including belt, Haldex, rear tyres and a little bit of paint to tidy up on some previous work. 2004, all details there (handpack, Audi Approved handover package including cleaning products and so on). Also needs a wheel refurb.

For all the above, it drives tight as tight and I love the colour combo: not too shouty. Other than the very brief test run, I've not driven it due to only evidence of timing belt was 2009! Lots of oil changes since, so it may have had another but I'll not risk it, hence the trailer despite it being just down the road.
