MOT day today

First MOT today on my daughters project car. It’s been off the road since last October, Adam and I have done pretty much everything to get it up to standard. Bought as a £500 car with many issues, but decent starting spec (Bose, 4x electric windows, climate and OSS), this is now a really good car. A trip to A2Steve on Thursday for the last few bits and it’ll be finished, assuming it passes MOT today.
Its had a full Sachs suspension refresh, brake lines, lambda sensor, coil, selector tower, to name a few, and obviously a lot of work done to the interior ?

Don't think it applies in this case but for anyone due a test, don't forget the latest rules indicate HID or LED headlight bulb conversions are likely to be an instant fail

Standard Halogens at the moment, and many hours of headlight lense polishing!

The interior is lovely, well done. Makes me very green with jealousy ? and giving my wallet a panic

It is a thing of beauty having seen it in the flesh, oh those seats are absolutely stunning.
 
That a cracking little car there, I would be pleased as punch to be driving that.

Hi Ian,
I’d love to add heating to the new leather / alcantara platinum sports seats going j. Audrey, do you know what pads they used that worked with OE switches / wiring?

It really doesn't matter what pads are used as long as they are 12v. I can supply you with the thermistor (built into the VW OEM pads) and that is how we made these work with the OEM roller switches. We've done this twice now and supplied the thremistor to others, so we are confident it works with any pad.

So after a new cylinder head, new bolts/gaskets, new cam belts and water pump and finally a new rear catalyst we managed to get it through the MOT with no advisories. All that needs doing now is a new side sill trim and fix the head lining. It will be a first class A2, just like Adams.
