MoT Nightmare

My wife took the 1.2 TDI in for it's first MoT and to fit an oil sensor. The DIS had been intermittently flashing up the latter as a problem ever since it's AVS1 Audi service.

Alas, the dealer charged & £131.23 for the MoT - cause they said they had to rewire the rear fog light. Charged another £58.54 for the oil sensor (part no. 045 907 660D) and did not fit it cause they said it was the wrong part! Even worse they said they wouldn't refund my missus cause it was less than £50 ! (I assume they mean pre-VAT).

Surely this cannot be right?!!!!! Of course it passed it's MoT but that darn Oil Sensor still beeps and flashes in the DIS !!!!!!

Your advice much appreciated.

Did you buy the oil sensor independantly of the dealer or did they order it in?
If the dealer ordered the part and it doesn't fit - thats not your problem or liability, they should pick up the tab for that one.

Don't drink drive! Not only is it socially unaceptable, it also harms A2's.

Sell the Audi and buy a car from a dealer who has had training in costomer relations, i.e. japanese

Nomadix - very useful advice, but I beg to differ. I also own a newish Toyota Corolla, and my local dealer is even more useless that Audi.

Agree. My Toyota dealer is better than my Audi dealer was, but then my Audi dealer had as much charm, customer service ability and knowledge as a slug. So it isn't difficult to be slightly better, but still poor!
