Mould on the bottom backsides of rear seats

Ive had a look at the car after giving it a clean today and noticed that there is mould forming in the bottoms of the rear seats.

Ive previously replaced the vents so am pretty sure it’s not them. However i have had to replace the tailgate last year as i smashed the glass with a bike rack. Could this be the cause? Perhaps not clearing the water? OR could it the seals not properly covering the black plastic clip panel covering access to the rear bumper?

Sorry to hear.

My money would be on the vents still. The carpet gets sodden right up to and underneath the rear seats, so the symptoms align. If the vents are now fully repaired, perhaps there were spores that have recently developed further with the colder temperatures of late. Double check your carpet remains dry in case they have worked loose. I understand they can be dislodged during refitting of the rear bumper if this is not done carefully.

I can hear a sloshibg sound comjng from the rear if the car. Its not in the battery area. Where could it be collexting?

Its in the rear spoiler. The spoiler is hollow and stores a surprising amount of water once the surrounding seal perishes. Drill 2 small holes on the underside and watch the water pour out. Also helps with the boot struts too because they have less weight to lift.

Everyday is a school day, I've often wondered where the sloshing was coming from in the rear of mine...its bone dry but I can hear it when reversing out of my drive!!!!!!

I removed the bumper. Sealed the vents. Rerouted the retrofit parking sensors through a Gromit behind the bumper. Realigned the tailgate and Crossed my fingers.

Reinstalled everything. Put back all of the interior trim i removed months and months ago. Got the sub and amp back on line and even ran a usb cable for my headunit through the cubby below the air con.

I cant think what else could let the water in.
