My A2 Project - 1.4 Sport Petrol

my Rs had some cable clips from standard then just clipped in. but incase of thieves or a random fall off they were secured with the tape. worked a treat

After seeing this picture I am unsure about the tinted windows, firstly it hides my red leather but then again it protects it in the summer. I'm trying to go oem but I'm now not 100% on the tints. Hmmm

As I said, try the blinds, you can keep them on when the sun shines and remove them when you want to show off your lovely red leather !!!

I think they are all the same and sold by Vanstyle. Great product, but IMO it could do without the shades for the rear window, and therefore cost much less.

I don't regret I had my rear windows tinted. Same tint as rear window. Sun protection for the kids and better look (IMO). And you can still see the red leather seats through the front windows :)

My rear tints are very dark and the fronts are light ( legal) but the rears make the fronts look darker than they actually are.

That may be because the rear tints are reducing the light that gets into the car and so the front tints are more emphasised.

I just wish they would produce a system where you could tint the front windows as dark as the back and still be legal.

LCD windows!!! That would work, during the bright days they could be fully tinted, then at night auto clear>

Someone has probably come up with something like that, but it wouldn't be cheap.

I would love black windows on the front and back windows (not the front screen though obviously!!!) it would look good against the white body and match he other black features (especially the OSS!!!)

I like the look of your tints redbull a2, I think it suits the silver. I have limo black on mine an the lightest shade on the front 4. I also wish I could have the front darker! Is there a law on "the rich and famouse" being allowed limo black on the front as you see a lot of very expensive cars and famouse people with very dark tints on the front??

That is because they can afford the fine and the chauffer gets the points.

I don't think you get a fine? My mate has real dark tints and gets pulled over and told to remove them on the spot occasionally, then he gets them re done a thew days later....

They can fine you, but the better police officers give you a chance to correct the situation as you say.

If the same copper catches you twice then you will most probably be fined, they are illegal and so they carry at the very least a fine if the copper wants to take it that way.

Just an update on my A2. Hit the 130k yesterday, it's getting to the stage now on wondering how long this A2 will last. I saw for sale a tdi sport with 48k on the clock!!!! If only....

My Aero arm and wiper arrived today :) thanks Hilary
Hoping to fit it next weekend.

Mot in April :( so will be at A2cars for a bit of spoiling and work, I will update this thread then.

Had the Mot today so of it went to A2cars to get some little bits sorted and it passed without any advisories :) Tony also fitted my aerowiper, i will post a picture shortly

Big thanks to A2cars, see you again on 23rd May at the open day.
