Hi,
Got my 18" 9 spoke sport alloys (RS4) back from the refurbisher and yet again they have done a first class job.
I asked for the lightest silver they do (to give a full contrast between the paint and the wheels) and to me they look GREAT!
I will be ordering the 215 35 18 Goodyear F1s soon (have to pay for the car and the gearbox conversion first, hopefully 2nd June from the funds from the house sale!)
Will post some pictures of the wheels later

Yes, they do a proper job, all coatings and paint stripped to bare metal, checked for roundness and crack tested (Is that what the white powder was they had?)
Everything refreshed primed and powder coated and then lacquered.
£450 for the four (inc VAT). Not cheap but great value for money!

Hi,
it does seem that black is quite a popular A2 colour around where I live.
The other week when leaving work one afternoon in my black A2, I had to wait for another black A2 to pass by before pulling out of the car park onto the main road.
On the way into town I passed another black A2 waiting to come out of a side road.
When I arrived at the supermarket, I parked opposite yet another black A2!
White would certainly stand out, its very rare on any car nowadays let alone an A2.

I have just tried GIMP (the free photo editor, not the mask!)
I need a LOT of practice, but I wanted to see what an all white A2 looks like with the larger wheels in a lighter silver.
I think I am going to have to buy TWO A2s not one, because I like the white now (and I still like the black)

Looks good. White will contrast nicely with the black OpenSky.
Rear privacy glass would look good too. Same tint as Audi's glass.
Make some custom Xenon projector headlights too.

Hi Terry,
NO, it is not a no at all yet.
Currently the list is
1st White
2nd Orange
3rd Black
BUT that changes daily, however if I was pressed to make the choice then it would be WHITE!
But I have time to decide, I will be using it as it is for a while.

A wrap will cost between £1000 & £2000 that's how much my employers paid to get their pool cars done. I have been tempted by wrapping my A2, the advantages are that it will hide any scratches you have and as you said it can easily be me removed. I am toying with the idea of wrapping the roof of my A2 in matt black as I like the colour contrast of the black opensky and silver body .
